Signal bells produce an audible alert in the event of an emergency and are often used to enact evacuation procedures. These small wall or ceiling mounted electronic devices produce a loud, continuous bell tone with a volume of circa 100 decibels which is designed to trigger a response from workers in the immediate vicinity.
