HMIs, or Human Machine Interfaces, are the means by which an operator or engineer is able to interact with a device. They are used in a variety of settings, for example to configure or monitor set points, to send commands, and adjust parameters, controls, and algorithms. HMIs also typically have the ability to display useful information such as processing data and previous activity.
